Shannon Airport Runway Night Run 2018

Shannon Airport Runway Night Run 2018 takes place on Shannon Airport Runway at 23:59 on Friday June 22nd 2018. The distance of this year’s event is 5km.

All proceeds from this event will be split between 2 charities; Clare Crusaders and Share A Dream.

Event t-shirts will be provided and worn by all race participants, but sizes will not be guaranteed. Race pack collection is at Shannon Airport on Thursday 21^st June from 12pm-2.30pm and again on Friday 22^nd June from 9pm.

1^st 1,600 registrations will also receive a 20% online discount for parking at Shannon Airport!

Registration provides all entrants with raffle entry for flights – 2 x return tickets to Barcelona Reus (limited to first 850 entries), 2 x return tickets to Faro (limited to first 1,200 entries), 2 x return tickets to Liverpool (limited to first 1,500 entries), 2 x return tickets to Bristol (for all entries).

Race Night & Route

Race Warm up to be provided by Mr Motivator, Richie Clifford.

This year the race will take in the new Runway overlay, and will continue with the route which will include both airside & landside areas of the airport. The race will begin in the usual start point on aircraft parking stand No. 39 and will then exit at the fire station and route around the airport approach road & finish outside the terminal building, where there will be music & Mr Motivator to greet the runners home.

The wearing of race t-shirts are mandatory.

This year will not be a chipped/timed event, although there will be a clock at the finish line.

Clare Crusaders

“The Clare Crusaders Children's Clinic provides free therapy and specialist treatment to over 350 children with special needs in County Clare. We are a self-financing service located in Barefield, Ennis. The Clinic receives no state funding and must raise over €250,000 per annum to provide the current level of therapy for children.”

Share A Dream

“Share a Dream is funded entirely from within Ireland and the funds are spent in Ireland for the benefit of children suffering from life threatening illness, chronic disease and disability. Share a Dream does not receive any government funding and is entirely supported by individuals, community groups and companies – large and small.”
