Inspired by the history of Limericks bacon industry, the Pigtown Culture and Food Series is an exciting new programme of themed events throughout September and October 2017 in Limerick developed by the Limerick Food Group. The series will focus on Limerick’s unique heritage showcasing the great food available locally and building on the county’s deep rooted food heritage.
To celebrate the Limerick Strand Hotel are hosting a special local “Pig & Beer” Dinner evening on Thursday October 12th 2017. The event kicks-off from 7pm and consists of an exclusive Butcher Style Table Dinner prepared by our talented Executive Chef Tom Flavin. The menu featuring, canapés on arrival, followed by our special slow roasted full hog and finished with locally inspired desserts.
Local Limerick Brewery Treaty City shall provide craft beers paired to each course and the passionate craft brewer and owner Stephen Cunneen shall give a talk on what you are tasting!
